Sourav Ganguly to join Pune Warriors India for IPL 4

Sourav Ganguly, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders for three IPL seasons captaining them in two editions, went unsold in the Indian Premier League auction early this year. It had appeared in the beginning of IPL 4 that he might not get the chance to play this series.

The 38-year-old refused a mentor's role with KKR after that and there had been speculation of a possible comeback through another franchise.

Kochi Tuskers were in talks with the stylish southpaw but couldn't sign him due to rules of the tournament.
Ashihsh Nehra’s BAD luck has turned out GOOD luck for Ganguly.

Ganguly has been signed on for Pune Warriors as replacement for injured pacer

He will now play for Pune Warriors for the remainder of the fourth season and the team management feels that his experience shall surely boost the team performance.
