Oprah's in for a big surprise in 'Farewell Spectacular'

The Oprah Winfrey Show was launched nationally in 1986 and is viewed by an estimated 42 million viewers each week in the United States. It is produced in Chicago by Harpo Productions, Inc. The show ends its long and successful run in the month of May.

Oprah loves surprising the audiences but this time she is going to get a Surprise. Harpo Productions has organized a surprise farewell event, where some of the biggest names in show business gather to give Oprah a send-off to remember.

The event is called "Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular," The star-studded show would tape May 17 at the United Center, just blocks away from Winfrey's studios. The tapings will air on May 23 and 24. If the SURPRISE element is to be belived then neither Winfrey nor the thousands who fill the arena will know in advance who any of the guests will be.

The best part is that the Tickets to the event are going to be free. Fans must request tickets on Winfrey's website, Oprah.com.

The final episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show” will be on May 25.
